A Structured, Nervous System–Based Approach to Movement in Indianapolis
The Big Picture

Let's be honest! You can’t out-adjust poor movement patterns or a lack of movement.

At Electric Life Chiropractic we don’t just adjust the spine — we teach people how to move, build strength, and train their nervous system through a structured progression from beginner to advanced.”

A Smarter Way to Move, Train, and Live in Indianapolis

The Philosophy
“You don’t need 10 exercises — you need the right 2–3.”

At Electric Life Chiropractic in Indianapolis, we see this every day with people who:
• sit for long hours at a desk
• train hard but still feel tight or restricted
• stay active but deal with recurring aches and stiffness
• feel like they’re “doing the right things” but not seeing lasting change
Here’s the reality:
You can’t out-adjust poor movement patterns or a lack of movement.
That’s where Movement Guidance comes in.
What Is Movement Guidance?
Movement Guidance is how we take what we see in your body and turn it into simple, practical next steps.
During your visit, we’re not just looking at where it hurts — we’re looking at how your body moves as a system.
We assess things like:
• how your hips, spine, and shoulders move together
→ not just if something is tight, but how your body is compensating around it
• where you feel restricted or “stuck”
→ common in areas like the hips, mid-back, or shoulders from sitting or repetitive use
• where your body lacks control or stability
→ where things feel shaky, weak, or unsupported — even if you’re strong
• how your nervous system is coordinating movement
→ how well your body can control and organize movement under stress or load
From there, we give you something simple and specific.
Your Movement Prescription
Instead of giving you a long list of exercises…
We give you:
2-3 targeted “Movement Snacks”
These are short, focused movements designed specifically for your body and your patterns.
Prioritizing Strength, Stability, Flexibility & Mobility Foundations.
Not random. Not generic. Prioritized based on your issues.
Just what you need right now.
We can build on later.

What Are “Movement Snacks”?
Movement Snacks are designed to be:
• simple enough to stay consistent with
• specific enough to actually make a difference
• short enough to fit into your day
Most take 5–10 minutes or less.

But the impact comes from doing the right movement, consistently.
They help your body:
• restore mobility
→ helping stiff or restricted areas (like hips or mid-back) move more freely again
• improve stability and control
→ giving your body better support so it doesn’t rely on compensation patterns
• retrain movement patterns
→ teaching your body how to move more efficiently in everyday life and workouts
• support your adjustments
→ helping your body hold changes longer instead of reverting back to old patterns
• reduce strain and overuse
→ taking pressure off the areas that are doing too much work
Why This Approach Works
Most people don’t struggle because they aren’t trying.
They struggle because they’re overwhelmed or not sure what actually matters.
We often see people who are:
• doing too many exercises without direction
• following general programs that don’t match their body
• stretching what feels tight without addressing the root cause
• pushing through workouts without improving movement quality
Your body doesn’t need more input.
It needs the right input.
When you focus on just 2-3 key movements:
• your body adapts faster
• movement becomes more efficient
• tension begins to decrease
• you start to feel more in control of your body
How Movement Guidance Fits Into Your Care
Chiropractic adjustments help restore motion and communication within the nervous system.
Movement helps reinforce those changes in real life.
At Electric Life Chiropractic in Indianapolis, we use movement as a bridge between:
• what happens during your visit
• how your body functions the other 23 hours of your day
In the office: Visit Flow
• check-in + needs conversation
• simple breathing resets,
• chiropractic adjustment flow
• 2-3 Movement Snacks tailored to your needs
• one-on-one coaching & guidance
Outside the office:
• short daily practice (5–10 minutes)
• better movement awareness
• improved consistency without overwhelm
• long-term change that actually sticks
Common Movement Patterns We See in Indianapolis
If you live and work in Indy, these probably sound familiar:
• sitting most of the day → leading to tight hips and low back stiffness
• working at a computer → contributing to rounded posture and neck tension
• training hard at the gym → but still feeling restricted or imbalanced
• long drives or commutes → creating stiffness and asymmetry
• busy schedules → leaving little time for intentional movement
These aren’t “bad” — they’re just patterns.
And patterns can be changed.
Build a Body That Moves Well
Movement isn’t just about workouts.
It’s how you:
• get up from a chair
• carry groceries or kids
• sit at your desk
• train and recover
• move through your day
When movement improves, everything else becomes easier.
